Standish Family Georgetown Reunion
Date and time
Location
St John´s Anglican Church Stewarttown
10996 Trafalgar Road Halton Hills, ON L7G 4S5 CanadaDescription
In 1818 three brothers emigrated to Canada from Queen's County Ireland. Two brothers, Matthew and Robert, stayed in Rougemont Quebec, and our ancestor, Joseph Standish (b. 1770) brought his family to the newly opened Esquising Township, southwest of what is now Georgetown Ontario.
This is the first Reunion for the Joseph Standish decendants. The Rougemont branch has held reunions in the past and is holding another one this year as well.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You pretty much need to drive. Parking is available in front of the church and in the field to the west. If you need a ride, let us know and we will see about car pooling.

Organized by
My great-grandmother was Elizabeth Standish (b. 1861) in the "G" branch. My mother Ruth and Susan Houston (brother of Richard Houston who wrote Numbering the Survivors) have also been involved in planning.
